So last nite we had to babysit. We bathed the kids, got them ready for bed and they were nice and snuggly. I decided I had to go to the bathroom so I went. Before I even sat down I noticed there was a lot of paper in the toilet but figured it wasn't enough to plug it up...boy was I wrong!...It was already plugged. So I did my thing, reached back to flush it. Then I never heard the toilet gargling noise so I looked back and nope, it was about to run over. I grabbed the plunger, pants still around my ankles and start plunging...of course I'm standing right over the toilet. I don't know if it was the operator of it was the plunger but somehow the plunger like bent totally up and then snapped down and all that water came up on my face! I just started screaming! "OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!" I hear Cody saying, "what what"...but never runs to see if I'm ok. I immediately start scrubbing my face and then started laughing! I couldn't believe it tho!
THEN we went to go clean afterwards and it was about 9:30 when we got there. We always have a bit of a problem unlocking the door. I was looking down while Cody fiddled with the lock and I was just talking my little heart out...as usual. I looked up right when there was a guy dressed in dark clothes standing on the opposite side of the door. I screamed and jumped back! The guy kinda chuckled and said, "I was just trying to help you unlock the door. I could hear you trying to get in." I was so embarrassed because Cody knows this guy and just how I totally jumped back and all four limbs managed to go in the air at separate times! Awful! My little heart was going a mile a minute after that and for the rest of the night I was jumpy. I guess it was a good laugh but man, thats why I never go clean by myself...I hate being scared.
That story reminds me of another story. When I helped clean the DES building in Show Low, I was taking the garbage bags out to the dumpster, which I always hated because I always thought there would be bums out there that would get me or better yet, an Indian Brave (I know weird, but I've always be afraid of Indian Braves). Well my mom hid around the corner of the dumpster and jumped out as I was closing the lid and said, "do you need any help?" I bout lost it...matter of fact, I think I did. I was freaked out. Period. She started laughing so hard and had to run to the bathroom!

Danica, you are the jumpiest person I know. I had to laugh when I read this. I can just see it all now. >..It sounds like you need a little practice using a plunger. that's gross!
Danica! That is so funny. I loved the story of you getting completely scared over the guy inside the building. I can see if it was a guy outside of the building. Good times. miss you!
These stories are hilarious and of course, people have to know you to fully appreciate them. Being scared is one of your specialties. I remember when you scared yourself with your own shadow. Ha. You're comical. dad
I LOVE SCARING PEOPLE!!! I love that that's one of your mom's favorite pasttimes, too.
Funny, cause when people scare me it usually causes rage in my heart...
It was all a good laugh. I don't know why I get scared so easily...probably because Ryan is my brother and used to scare me ALL the time!
If you think Ryan was bad, I guess we'll all just have to wait and see how Brody turns out. With the way that Trace and Tara scare him, I can only imagine what it will be like in a few years.
Yeah, that was hilarious when danica was dumping the trash at DES and I knew she was out there. So I snuck out and stood around the corner until she was done throwing it all in the dumpster. Then I just quietly, innocently stepped around the corner and said very calmly, "Need some help?" It was the funniest thing. You should have been there to see it. OH, and then one other time I had just gotten home from church. Danica got home a few minutes before we did and she went into her room and turned on some loud, inappropriate music. haha Anyway, she was standing in front of her closet hanging up her dress and i just walked into her room and stood behind her about 1 foot or so. When she turned around, she saw me standing there and TOTALLY fell back inside her closet and screamed so loud. SO FUNNY. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. She called me EVIL. hahahaha
I do remember that! That was hilarious! You're just a scary lady! Remember when me and Brooklyne were going to catch the "peeping tom" so we dresed up in black and then put on black make up around our eyes and I turned off the light and Brooklyne took a picture and screamed because it scared her so bad! haha...we were such losers.
I like to randomly appear in windows or stand right by the door when I know someone's coming in my house.
I also like the speech out of silence approach. Wait til someone thinks they're alone and get all lost in their own thoughts, then speak a little assertively with something random like, "need help?"
This is your best post ever, Toilet Face!
Yeah, and I remember when I hung that mirror at the end of the hallway. You were gone all day and evening for something at school, I guess. Anyway, it was kind of late when you came home and headed down the hall. When you got a glimpse of yourself in that mirror, you about had a heart attack. That was so funny. You thought some stranger was standing at the end of the hall and was going to get you. After you screamed and turned on the light, you came running into my room and told me how scared you were. Never a dull moment with you around!
Apparently there are more memories than I could think of! I do remember that now mom-hilarious!
Kristen-that is hilarious-"need help". I bout died laughing!
