When It Rains It Pours (I think I've used this title before...go figure)

Today we had a routine oil change (yes we do actually do those for those who have smart comments). Well, wonderful news, we ended up with a $1200 oil change because of the leak from hell. Yes hell. At first, I thought ok, "only money, what else can we deal with?" I laughed about it to keep from going insane. It wasn't till later that it actually hit me. I cried a little out of complete frustration. I told Cody, "Ya know, what else?" He responded, "Danica the Lord knows the bigger picture." I then replied, "I like my picture a lot more and it would be much easier." I've probably never said something with more truth and selfishness but after chugging a 44 oz Vanilla Dr. Pepper (to take the edge off...mainly for Cody's sake) I'm ok. We'll make it work. I know I say that with every trial but I do think the Lord knows I'm about to break. I'm excited to go to the temple tomorrow and just be away from this chaotic* world for a few hours. Plus I get to wear my favorite dress and new red heals.

*I asked Cody how to spell chaotic. He looks at me and says rather loud, "Kay Ah Tik."

Another funny thing that happened today-
I was drinking my said Dr. Pepper (yes it was from QT Rustin) and thoroughly enjoying myself and just saying how amazing it was. Cody's response, "It's the funnest I've ever had with my pants on." My response was inappropriate.

CODY!!! HAHA. Hey, listen, things will be fine. I know it sucks when your apartment catches fire, or your car blows up the day you get back in town, and then you sell it and then you never actually get money from the kid that bought it, etc. But seriously, small details of life come and go. Don't get caught up and too worried when these little trials come. They will pass and better things will come along. Just listen to that "old blue chair" on your playlist. Good times.

You two must be about to receive some serious blessings since you are having some doozies for trials here. Ryan and I were remembering our 1st years of marriage and they were very expensive & frustrating, but I wouldn't change a thing. We have been blessed a hundred times over for our faithfulness and you will be too. Ryan says a good vanilla Dr. Pepper can solve all problems...I say, just add some chocolate and you have the best of both worlds! BTW, I need more info on this mysterious "frozen body part" mentioned in your dad's awesome blog entry. We love you and can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!!!

I have to admit that I had never anticipated talking prosthetic boobs on a post about our Disneyland trip. I am begging you not to post what your inappropriate response to Cody was on that same post. Mixing that with Mickey could scar me for life. Just kidding. I wish you the best with your car. We ended up with student debt mainly due to car repair expenses. They suck. We love you though and hope all is well. By the way, I am just saying, no one has spoken for our house that weekend in April. We only have room for about...2...Just saying. Take care guys and again, good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear about the car! Crystal and Spencer constantly threw money into their old van when he was in school. They too would get their student loan and use the excess to fix the van. They do laugh about it now. They gave that van to Chani and Josh and it's still "Limping" along for them.
QT is the best! I love that they have crushed ice! It's the ice I like...I wouldn't do well in those countries that don't ice their drinks.
